Game Room Accessories

Accessorize your Accessories

You've gone through all the planning stages for your new game room and everything seems complete, but the room is lacking something. Then you realize you have forgotten to accessorize the room. Let's face it; a game room without accessories is not really a game room, but a collection of tables with gaming intentions.

Most every game you have will require accessories. Some games will come equipped with what you need to play, but others will not. In the case they don't, consider some essential accessories for some popular games.

Billiards accessories

Billiards is a game that probably requires the most accessories and to no detriment of its own. When you purchase a billiards table, generally you just get the table. Some accessories you'll need will be billiard cues, a rack to hang these cues, billiard balls, and a ball rack. In addition to these items, you'll probably want to get cue chalk and hand chalk along with a felt brush to take care of the table.

Dart accessories

Darts is another game that requires some accessories in order to start the game. Depending on what type of board you have, you'll need darts. Not every board comes equipped with darts. If you have an electronic board, chances are you'll need plastic tipped darts. These tips tend to break, so stock up on extra tips. If you have a cork board, you'll need metal tipped darts. While metal tipped darts generally don't tend to break, they can bend.

Poker accessories

Outside of the obvious accessory for a poker table, playing cards, you'll also want to have a poker chips. Most chips come in different colors distinguishing amounts. It's nice to keep these chips in a chip holder so that all can be accounted for after the game.
